The Shimano Saragosa range of saltwater spinning reels were engineered to handle the extremes of modern day jigging and spinning techniques.
All models are engineered from a light-weight aluminium frame, machined handle and graphite rotor (aluminium in the 18000 model). The spool features a titanium lip, one-piece and Dartanium drag system (6000-18000 models only). All models feature no less than 5 SARB bearings and 1 roller bearing.
Featuring all of the latest innovations fresh out of the Shimano stable the Saragosa will be taking on XOS kingfish, GTs and Tuna anywhere it is employed for a long time to come.

The mechanism has 5 sealed bearings, 6 in the largest models. The drag brake is resistant to water, carbon discs and a micrometer progression: maximum 10kg. A double process of anodized aluminum protects the body from oxidation Diecast and salt. The rotor and the body are made of XT-7 carbon composite, and the coils are cold forged. The coil can store up to 390 m of 0.30 mm. The anti-reverse system has been eliminated as superfluous and complicate the mechanism, you can create a point of infiltration of salts and corrosion.
